The December UIHC Bariatric Surgery Support Group was well attended with sleevers, pouches and a prospective patient represented. Kara Moss (Dietitian) was slated to speak, but was unable to attend. Instead, Deb Allan (the new bariatric surgery program coordinator) ran the show.
And what a show it was.
She spent the morning cooking and brought in quite a spread. We had a great and open ended conversation about food, meal ideas and tips and tricks for surviving holiday meals as a bariatric patient.
Also, she reminded us that there would not be a support group in January. Booo…
